Spring Anime '16

Konnichiwa otakus

I haven't posted in a while, so here are some suggestions of mine for the upcoming anime for the Spring season! I hope you enjoy the read!

1. Koutetsujou no Kabaneri

As the world is in the middle of an industrial revolution, a monster appears that cannot be defeated unless its heart, which is protected by a layer of iron, is pierced. By infecting humans with its bite, the monster can create aggressive and undead creatures known as Kabane. On the island Hinomoto, located in the far east, people have built stations to shelter themselves from these creatures. People access the station, as well as transport wares between them, with the help of a locomotive running on steam, called Hayajiro. Ikoma, a boy who lives in the Aragane station and helps to build Hayajiro, creates his own weapon called Tsuranukizutsu in order to defeat the creatures. One day, as he waits for an opportunity to use his weapon, he meets a girl named Mumei, who is excused from the mandatory Kabane inspection. During the night, Ikuma meets Mumei again as he sees Hayajiro going out of control. The staff on the locomotive has turned into the creatures. The station, now under attack by Kabane, is the opportunity Ikoma has been looking for.

Ok first let me take a sel put a gif to express my hype

This anime is on the hype list for next seasons anime.. The plot sounds pretty interesting but if everyone legit dies in like the first few episodes like in Akame ga Kill omg im gunna rage so hard pls dont hahah i beg u pls dont do dis director. It certainly looks amazing and OMGGG EGOIST IS IN IT!!

This anime's art style bears similiarities to older anime that were made in the 2000's, and it is also produced by the guy behind Guilty Crown, so expect good OST's and animation! :DD   Can't wait to watch this!

2. Sakamoto desu ga?

First year high school student Sakamoto isn't just cool, he's the coolest! Almost immediately after starting school, he began attracting everyone's attention. The girls love him, and most of the boys resent him. There's even a boy in the class who works as a model, but who is constantly upstaged by Sakamoto! No matter what tricks the other boys try to play on him, Sakamoto always manages to foil them with ease and grace. Though Sakamoto may seem cool and aloof, he helps others when asked, such as in the case of the boy in his class who was being constantly bullied. No matter what difficulties Sakamoto encounters, he moves through his high school life with confidence and class!

A.K.A. The anime about a guy who can make anything he does look cool

I have a feeling that this anime will make fun of cliched settings in anime. The trailer showcased elements of hilarity and coolness with the use of juxtaposition by showing the self narcissistic character doing cool stuff, while others could only blush and can only be flustered with the simplicity of his fabulousness.

I don't know how many memes/jokes i can make out of this, but i can only see this comedy as a goldmine for it.
Let's see how it will go... :D

3. Mayoiga

EditSynopsis A shady bus tour of young men and women are headed to an elusive village called Nanakimura. A destination where people can partake in an utopian existence, free of the world's obstacles... or so goes the rumor. Heading deep into the mountains, the bus is carrying 30 different individuals, each harboring their own expectations and troubled hearts... What they had arrived to was an uninhabited village with lingering, faint scents of life and it was falling apart. Just what is the secret of Nanakimura?

This anime looks and sounds quite interesting, but WHERE'S THE HORROR TAG!!!??? なに?!...

Ahemm..

The studio in charge of making this is Diomedea, and in the past, their productions weren’t really well received and didn’t catch the otaku audience. (mainly because of budget etc.). However, the director previously worked in Shirobako and Girls Und Punzer (ahahahahah im so funny), which means the animation, plot and art style should be quite promising as well so it could turn out to be an enjoyable series!

4. Joker Game

Taking place in the year 1937 on the eve of World War II, the story involves a mysterious spy training organization known as the "D Agency." The organization is established by Lieutenant Colonel Yuuki from the Imperial Japanese Army. His ideals lead him to recruit people beyond military academy graduates and personnel, while training them to become skilled agents in arts of manipulation. These agents would become a specialized team to conduct operations. One such antihero agent, under the name Jirou Gamou, goes on a harrowing mission to uncover secret documents titled "Black Notes," while battling forces from within and without his own ranks.

First Impression: Nazis speaking japanese and holding  katanas.. i wana buy a katana now

I'm really excited on how this anime will turn out, because the setting of pre-war Japan, westernization, mind games, espionage, secret police and everything to do with cards is pretty interesting and cool. Hopefully this will turn out to be a great anime :D













5. Bungou Stray Dogs

Nakajima Atsushi was kicked out of his orphanage, and now he has no place to go and no food. While he is standing by a river, on the brink of starvation, he rescues a man whimsically attempting suicide. That man is Dazai Osamu, and he and his partner Kunikida are members of a very special detective agency. They have supernatural powers and deal with cases that are too dangerous for the police or the military. They're tracking down a tiger that has appeared in the area recently, around the time Atsushi came to the area. The tiger seems to have a connection to Atsushi, and by the time the case is solved, it is clear that Atsushi's future will involve much more of Dazai and the rest of the detectives!

Ooooohhhh.. a detective anime! The character designs, art , music are amazziiingggg and the main setting seems awesomely wicked based on the trailer. I have a feeling that this may be one of the top blockbusters for this seasons anime....... unless if it becomes fujoshi material.
I think this anime will appeal to the ones who like mystery and detective stories.. so if you are interested, please keep this in mind!

6. Big Order

Ten years ago, a child wished for the destruction of the world. Now, a group of people has the ability to grant their wishes depending on their power. They are called "Order User." Before these great people who have the power of "Order," one person excels the most with the ability to rule and conquer the world and turn people into puppets when it is in his jurisdiction. This power belongs to Hoshimiya Eiji, who is also responsible for the destructive phenomena that happened exactly ten years ago.

An anime with an extremely OP character woohoo XD
haven't seen one in a while since Once Punch.. It's produced by the person who made Mirai Nikki so i believe it will go somewhere far this time as well XD

There are a lack of teasers and trailers so i can't deduce anything about the animation and art, but apart from that, it seems quite interesting so might as well pick it up :D













7. Gyakuten Saiban: Sono "Shinjitsu", Igi Ari!

A rookie lawyer Ryuuichi Naruhodou stands up to save his defendants by proving their innocence from unusual cases! Is the defendant guilty or innocent...? Believing his client's innocence Naruhodou stands in court and battles his rival judges. With the word of "OBJECTION!" and limited evidence, Naruhodou makes a comeback when all odds are against him and seems like there is nothing more he can do. Don't miss out on the comical episodes between him and his mentor Chihiro Ayasato, assistant Mayoi Ayasato, rival prosecutor Reiji Mitsurugi, and numerous unique characters! The anime also depicts the childhood relationship between Naruhodou and his friends. With the skills inherited from his mentor Naruho reveals the truth!

The power of OBJECTIONN!!!! is coming back! It's time to see lawyers literally destroying each other in this comedy adaptation of the beloved game, Ace Attorney! XD 
If you haven't heard or seen about it, i'm pretty sure you just forgot because it's been spread around the realms of the internet as a meme xD. It's even been made into an ASCII. 

The anime is produced by A1 Productions, so we can expect a good adaptation of the game series. If you're interested in having a giggle and watch intense battles across a courtroom, then you should watch it!








8. Flying Witch

Seems like a chill, lighthearted anime and is set in the countryside to compensate the slice of life genre just like Yotsuba and Non Non Biyori, except with the element of supernatural . I read a bit of the manga and it really had a light and carefree atmosphere, where the characters reveal bits of their past slowly throughtout time, just to keep you interested. 

Although i think this anime will be a waifu haven for creatures called 'boys' , i do think that this anime is worthwhile to watch if you want to kill time effectively :)

There were some suggestions i wanted to put down, but on second thought, i didn't think it would be  a good anime to watch:)
